Business Unusual Accelerator: Meet the Team
Pauline Leung
Our Business Unusual Accelerator Team are taking the priorities that came out of Citizens’ Studio and shaping them into a prototype enterprise.
This is the third strand of our Theory of Change, and how we tangibly contribute to a more inclusive and ecological economy in Cambridge. Today, we're excited to introduce you to Pauline Leung.
Tell us about yourself and the skills that you’re bringing to the team.
Hi, I’m Pauline. I’m a body-oriented coach and community builder, passionate about designing spaces where people connect, grow, and do meaningful work.
With ten years of experience in Learning & Development, Change Management, and Employee Experience, as well as more recent years coaching and launching community initiatives like ESEA Cambridge, I thrive on bringing people together to learn and support one another.
What made you want to join the Business Unusual Accelerator team this year?
Over the past 3.5 years, I've had the privilege of coaching over 400 people from a wide range of industries and backgrounds. This has given me a front-row seat to the realities of workplace culture and its impact on well-being.
I’m eager to contribute to building a “together culture” in Cambridge—one that’s collaborative, experiment-driven, and values learning through hands-on experience.
The spirit of co-design and shared purpose at Together Culture makes me excited to challenge conventional ways of working and help shape workplaces where everyone belongs.
The first Business Unusual Accelerator meeting, which kicked off in July.
What excites you about what emerged from the 2025 Citizens' Studio?
I’m energised by the emphasis on collective leadership and genuine co-creation—imagining workplaces that not only get results but also truly support and nourish everyone involved. The shared vision and deep sense of belonging that surfaced through the Citizens' Studio fills me with hope for what we can achieve together.
What is your hope for what emerges from this year's Accelerator, and what do you think the impact will be?
My hope for this year’s Accelerator is that we identify practical and meaningful ways to support people in all their complexity. I am eager for us to discover and develop approaches that truly reflect the realities of people’s lives, moving past ideal scenarios to solutions that work day-to-day. Through this journey, I look forward to creating tools, workshops, or training that enable organisations to support what genuinely matters to their people.
I also want to find tangible ways to shift how we work, ensuring that any change we spark reaches beyond inspiring language or vision—embedding itself into daily practice. Workplace culture is shaped every day by the people, fostering true belonging and opportunities for all.
