Business Unusual Accelerator

The second phase of our annual incubator, where we take the priorities that came out of Citizens’ Studio and shape them into a prototype enterprise.

Business-to-Business Introductory Workshops to Build Together Culture in Your Workplace

This year, the priority that has emerged from Citizens' Studio is how we can help other organisations build ‘together culture’ and a meaningful work environment in their workplace.

To do that, we'll be developing a business model for skills and culture change workshops.

This might include adapting Together Culture tools like Living Book Workshops, Customised Co-Creations, developing Living Books for other organisations in the form of one-off team days or a series of co-creations customised to the needs of businesses in Cambridge.

We'll be training and employing Together Culture Members to develop the pipeline and deliver the products.

Want to be part of the team?

  • We're looking for 4 to 6 people to participate

  • Sincere interest in developing entrepreneurial skills

  • Ability to commit to the full series of workshops

  • Ability to commit x3 - 4 hours of work per month outside of workshops

  • Prospective interest in delivering and developing the product after business modelling

If you’re interested in joining the team, send an email to heather@togetherculture.com by 9 June explaining why you are interested and think your skills and background would be a great fit of the Business Unusual Team.

Who is facilitating and supporting the

learning and development process?

  • Heather Thomas

    Facilitator

Heather is the founder of Together Culture. After earning her MBA at Copenhagen Business School, she built a cultural hub on Vesterbrogade that used the ideals of the Nordic Food Movement to build a community of foreigners and curious locals who wanted to ‘eat their values’ and develop new relationships with one another and the natural world. She has delivered community building strategies for The Eden Project, The Reader, Science Gallery International, and Sustain.

  • Mark Buccella

    Facilitator

Mark is a design strategist, researcher, and facilitator who enables teams to solve complex challenges through human-centred approaches. With over 20 years of experience, Mark specialises in co-creation methodologies that bring diverse stakeholders together to develop shared visions and actionable strategies.

  • Chris Pointon

    Advisory Board

Chris has been the technical co-founder of several internet companies, ranging from multiplayer games to data protection. He now works as a consultant helping tech companies with their people, products and processes. Chris is a Director of The Place-Based Initiative and leads Cambridgeshire Climate Emergency. In both roles, Chris advocates for greater use of participative democracy and the co-creation of interventions, so he is very excited to be supporting both at Together Culture.

  • Ladun Omideyi

    Advisory Board

Ladun is an engineering manager and former lawyer with a focus on civic technology and delivery. She’s interested in what makes systems work in the real world and how we can design them to be inclusive, resilient, and truly public-serving.
